Our company took part in the III International Conference “Corrosion and New Materials in the Oil and Gas Industry”, which was held in St. Petersburg on May 26-28, 2013. More than 50 companies from 10 countries also took part in the conference. Experts from mining, metallurgy, additive technologies, digital processing, hydrogen energy and mechanical engineering discussed current problems and opportunities in the oil and gas industry, shared their experience and ideas with colleagues.
The section “Methods of protection against corrosion” dated May 28, brought up issues about the types of metallic and non-metallic coatings, the technology of their application, inhibition technologies, the evaluation of their effectiveness, and new approaches to the reagents choice. As part of the section above a report was made by Alexander Agafonkin, LLC IFOTOP project manager. The topic of the report is “Innovative active bases for corrosion inhibitors designed to protect downhole equipment and pipelines for various purposes in oil and gas fields, based on russian amines”.
We are grateful to the conference organizers for the high level and professional approach to business, as well as a very rich and interesting program. It was a pleasure to communicate and share experience with leading industry experts. We are sure that the results of this event will transform into new business connections, successful cooperation and development of the oil and gas industry.
