CHEMICALS FOR INDUSTRIAL REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEMS
Industrial reverse osmosis (RO) systems require constant maintenance and cleaning to be effective and uninterrupted. IFOTOP has rich experience in the production of industrial water treatment and purification reagents. Therefore, we understand the specificities and causes of deposit formation in RO units, and offer innovative solutions to solve the problem.
Specialists of our company bring in modifications to classical processing schemes and develop unique reagent formulas that rise reagent processing to a new qualitative level. These facts allow us to maintain the system’s efficient operation. IFO chemicals are safe for membranes of various manufacturers, which has been confirmed in the practice of operating existing RO systems treated with IFO reagents.
ADVANTAGES OF IFO REAGENTS
Compatible with RO system membranes from various manufacturers
Salt recovery up to 100%
Prevention of deposits of calcium, barium, strontium salts and other contaminants
Extended wash interval
Maximum efficiency of RO system's operation
IFO REAGENTS FOR RO systems
Alkaline reagent
IFO OSOMODISP-581H
Acid reagent
IFO OSMODISP-580A
Non-oxidizing biocide
IFO BIOKAT-501, mark A
The IFO Cleaning Complex includes both classic alkaline (alkali and reaction enhancer) and acidic (acid and reaction enhancer) reagents, as well as an innovative biocide of the quinoline class, which provides a qualitative advantage of RO system cleaning cycles. The new complex appliance according to the IFO algorithm with a frequency of 2-4 times/year (depending on the installation capacity and the inflow parameters) will ensure maximum performance and reliability of the reverse osmosis system.
CASE STUDIES
CLASSIC PROCESSING
The frequency of the RO system's performance slowdown to critical level is every 1.5-2 months
TREATMENT WITH IFO REAGENTS
The intervals for the RO system's performance slowdown increase by 2 times to, 3–4 months, and the productivity raises by 10%
In the formula of the new antiscalant IFO POLYSCALE-505, phosphonates and synthetic polymers are used as an active inhibitory base, and NMPA amine derivatives are used to ensure the regent technological properties. The unique composition of the product provides the prevention of calcium salt deposits and heavy deposits of barium salts, strontium salts and other contaminants.

IFO BIOBUST-502, a fast-acting biocide with a traditional formula based on DBNPA, is additionally attached to a reverse osmosis system when water is predisposed to bacteriological contamination. The high speed of DBNPA operation requires quick biodispersion result at the RO systems, where the contact time of the water with membranes is in conditions of limited flow.
